Gingersnapp said...: I had totally forgotten about this letter, I think my first of many hundreds to the News Press. I remember now that I was so upset that the shoes I was talking about which were tennis shoes got left out and it sounded like shoes in general were reason for expulsion. I have no idea why I didn't like the Beatles haircuts except I think it was unheard of at that time for boys to have long hair. That came later in the late 60s into the 70s and yes I loved long hair on guys for a time that is why all my boys had very long hair until they rebelled and wanted it cut.

Being a liberal must be in ones genes as I see now from that letter, I was a liberal in the making.; 8:27 PM
